Textures disappearing after setting player walkSpeed to 0

I got a resource pack (this was the same with texture packs in 1.5.2), but when I switched everything was the same but when I loaded my testing world, I only saw the void. Switching back to the default resource pack didn't help.

How to reproduce:

1. Change level.dat->Data->Player->abilities->walkSpeed to 0 (it doesn't seem to work without doing this)
2. Change to another resource pack.
3. Load up a new world, and you can't see any blocks!
Also, you have to make a new minecraft.jar to fix this, as far as I know.

EDIT:
It seems to do this in 1.6.2 without changing resource packs.

EDIT 2:
It seems to be fixed in 13w36b.

NBTEdit is basically a program that lets you change everything that goes on
in the game.
You can just Google it.

I know.

But the title of the ticket should be "If I set random parameters to invalid values, it doesn't work".
Read: Why in the world do you set the walkingspedd to ZERO ?

Well,
1. I turned it to 0 because I was bored.
2. Changing it to 0 works if you don't change texture (or resource) packs. It just makes your FOV go all wonky. So 0 is not invalid.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
