[MC-186929] am spawn in middle of Nether in between rocks where digging up and down finds me nothing except at top with bedrocks

i used nether portal to get in nether but instead im spawned in middle of nowhere in nether with portal next to me..even after digging i cant seem to find anything but i do hear sounds of Ghast but cant see him..digging to top only finds my bedrocks with whole thing empty.
