Preliminary note: I have searched for this problem, and found very numerous tickets on the subject.... however, I have found none of them OPEN for JAVA edition... all of them are "resolved" which means this is still a bug and not resolved (maybe even resurfaced?).
Since I can't reopen existing tickets, I am forced to open a new one.
I apologise if I should not have created a new ticked... but... I tried this...
Search terms "ruined portal loot"... all status except for "resolved" ... nothing came up except for MCPE-69003 and MCPE-72432 which is not java of course 🙂

I tried searching for other portals... even some 15000 blocks away - both positive and negative X and Z coords, just for kicks... and none of them had loot ? This is also a first, as I distinctly recall other 20w... snapshots that did have loot (to my knowledge, I didn't test all ruined portals, just occasionally with no missing loot issues).
Again, I apologise if I wasn't supposed to create this, but I could not find an open ticket for this problem on Java Edition.

Duplicate of MC-186067. And yes, it will be fixed in next snapshot.

Some additional information ... I decided to see if this problem is the same in the nether... so made a portal our of that one at spawn in the screenshot....
Firstly... when using "/locate ruined_portal" in the nether I found nothing (80 ~ 208) :/ ... (see MC-178842 for more info on missing portals).... so I looked further.
Found one when moving Z : ~5000 blocks away @ 4800 ~ 192 (Nether) .... also no loot.
As a side note, I found this:
MC-186067.... does that mean it's fixed ? Pending next release ? I've only been working with bugs.mojang for a little while now... so I am not sure if that means "it's fixed, but we haven't released that fix to you yet" ?
If that's the case .... I apologise for creating this - and if it is fixed in an upcoming release, then this can surely be closed... sorry for any unnecessary admin 🙂
