What I expected to happen was...:
Break a block and not being able to replace it at that exact position.
What actually happened was...:
Breaking a block and being able to really quickly place a new block at that position
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have a block with nothing under it
2. Break it.
3. Place a new block really quickly

I used basalt so it was easier to notice, and no, it was not looking at the side of the block next to it, if it did, it would've been sideways.
Are you sure your crosshair isn't looking at the side of the block next to it?
