If the world was generated on 1.16 pre1, you must load a backup, as they say on the minecraft.net post:
"Note that worlds opened in 1.16 pre-release 1 are corrupt and will not work in any way in 1.16 pre-release 2 (this includes using the re-create world button). Please restore an older backup or create a brand new world to play in this pre-release."
Also, relating to the report, can't reproduce it on 1.16 pre2
Please read the moderator note on MC-187408 for more information.
Thank You for the reply. However if you do want to fix your current world you need to find the seed your using.
Create a new world with that seed, fly around to the chunks you have your stuff at.
Create a nether potal and load in the nether.
Exit the game and go to the world saves and delete the world regions and replace them with the ones from the world you want repaired.
There you go. You also want to move over playerdata, advancments etc.
Also if an entity like a dog enters the portal the server crashes completly
