Breaking a Bee Nest with a bee inside of it drops the block when you are in creative mode

This may or may not be intentional for creative mode players to easily move beehives without using a silk touch pickaxe, as beehives retain bee count data when broken by silk touch.

Correct, this is intentional, the same way a shulker box drops if items are inside it in Creative.
