I created a couple of slime farms in snapshot 20w16a and somewhere around 20w22a they quit generating slime. I have quite an area at Y = 12 cleared and see no slime generating.

However, we are already tracking this issue, and this report is a Duplicate of MC-186087, which has been marked as Won't Fix - while this behaviour is not desirable, the developers have said that they will not or cannot fix it.
