game crashes whenever I get close to a pillager outpost

Whenever I get close to a pillager outpost that spawned in a taiga biome, the game crashes. When I first discovered this, I had loaded up all of my inventory into my chest, and headed toward the outpost. After it crashed, and I loaded the world back up, I was back near my chest, with my inventory duped, and the items in the chest still there.
