[MC-189102] Hotbar keys not working while searching creative inventory

When in the search tab of the creative inventory, hovering over an item and pressing a hotbar key enters that character in search rather than putting the item into the desired hotbar slot. Example in video.

While I do agree with you, this was intentionally fixed by the developers in Pre-release 5, see MC-188655.
