Magma cube spawn rate stupidly high in basalt deltas

I have been playing a survival world on the pre-releases to hopefully do my part in bug testing, and in my adventures i needed to pass through a basalt delta to get to a Piglin Bastian. After i had finished and was on my way back to the portal, i had noticed that the path through the delta was almost completely blanketed in magma cubes, around like 30-40 in a 5 chunk area. I tried to make it back but failed as expected.
