Piglins won't pick up any item thrown into the ground by a player

The bug:

Piglins are unable to pick up any items thrown into a ground by a player (Not even gold items, which they're addicted to!!) Because of this, players would have to right click to barter with the piglins.

To reproduce:

1. Spawn a piglin

2. Throw an item a piglin would adore (golden armour, golden ore, or golden blocks etc.)
   → ❌ Piglins aren't able to pick up items
