I believe that Striders are supposed to stay in lava pools in all dimensions, and although they do in the Nether, they leave lava pools regularly in the Overworld, and most likely the End.
[media]My Strider, which I keep in a nether-themed cave in the Overworld, leaves its lava pool regularly and I don't know how to keep it in there.
