I have both a Netherite pickaxe and sword. while both of them have the mending enchantment, it does not seem to work. I especially noticed this when I was mining nether quartz, which produces alot of experience, did not give my pickaxe extra durability, and in fact, just added it to my XP bar. while i have not had these problems with my sword, it still does not seem to be gaining any durability back. I also have a Netherite helmet with mending, and it seems to be regenerating normally. Please fix this, as Netherite mining is a tedious process and I don't want to keep having to make new pickaxes.

Ok i checked. it seems that it does actually give durability back, its just such a small amount i couldnt notice without advanced tooltips on. thanks for the help!
Do you have the pickaxe or sword in your hand while you mine the quartz? Only selected items as well as armour is repaired by Mending via XP.
