Version: 1.8.9 (it wasn't in the list)
I've been trying to play Minecraft for the last two days with no luck. I select multiplayer then as soon as I do a screen comes up (see attached) and it has a message on it "scanning for games on your local network" and it just stays there. I have no idea what's going on because I had played with problem about 1 week ago but this week when I try I don't get anywhere. 😞
Any ideas what's going on and how to fix?
Thank you for your time and help. Have a Blessed day.
Thomas

Click "Add Server" and enter the servers ip which can be found on their website/forum or on a Minecraft server website.
There is no server list like in Bedrock, please also note that we only accept reports for the latest versions, which is 1.16.1 and 20w28a.
I've always selected multiplayer then a list of servers would populate for me to choose from. The server I had been playing until all this started had been Hypixel.
This issue has not been resolved, don't know why it was marked that way. I have the latest JAVA edition and not running the WIN10 version. Never had any problems until this week.
Change the latest version from 1.8.9 to 1.16.1 and if it is still happening in 1.16.1 then create a new report. You can change versions on the launchers with the drop down menu next to the play button
Invalid. You need to click singleplayer to play in a world or type in a sever IP to play in a multiplayer server
