I can't play with my friends, my monkey stays still

I can't play well with my friends since the monkey stays still in the world and my friends see me still and I could see myself breaking things but they haven't released the item for a long time so I don't know if it's my internet or theirs but when I play minecraft base it doesn't give me that way please
