I bought an account already on mojang, and I see users talk about the Linux version here without issue, but mentioning FreeBSD gets labeled as piracy. Isn't the FreeBSD version just the Linux version? Since I'm using a purchased account, would it not be considered a pirated software? Not exactly sure how this works.
Here's another topic where someone mentioned running it on FreeBSD and the mod there didn't seem bothered by it. What's the scoop? Thanks!

To answer your question: No, it's not. You're just using an outdated version of the legacy launcher (which is very old and no longer really supported), which probably caused the user to believe you're using a pirated version of Minecraft.

That ticket has already been resolved as Fixed. The fix will arrive in the next version or is already included in the latest development version of the game, you can check the Fix Version/s field in that ticket to learn more.
