According to the image you have shown, you have an older version of the game.
The current version is 1.16.1, so, you have to update it to make it work.
Hi there!
Unfortunately, it looks like you're using Minecraft 1.2.5, which is not supported on this bug tracker. The only two versions currently supported are Minecraft Release 1.16.1 and Snapshot 20w28a. You could try asking on the community support discord with other people who have the same or similar problem: https://discord.com/invite/58Sxm23
I would also suggest, if you'd really like to access that version of Minecraft, changing the game directory when creating the installation of 1.2.5. Go to the "Installations" page on the top of the Minecraft Launcher. Then, find the 1.2.5 installation and click on the three dots on the right. Now, click Edit.
Then, create a new folder somewhere on your computer outside of your default Minecraft folder. This is where your games will be saved. Then, click Browse in the Minecraft Launcher under Game Directory, and find the folder you just made. Click OK (or the corresponding button for your operating system) and then try loading up the game.
That was what worked for me when I was trying to play Minecraft 1.2.5. Hope it helps you too! 🙂
If you are on windows make sure your software is up-to-date.
