Minecraft Boat Glitch is still present

I was riding on an iceboat nether highway on our java server. I randomly was abruptly stopped while riding my boat, and I glitched into the wall while on the boat. I dismounted and suffocated, and all of my valuables were destroyed.

I also have had problems with dismounting, where I suddenly jump up and down repeatedly until I break the boat.
