After playing in a survival world and going into a boat with my cat, my cat drowned. I decided to test this is creative mode and couldn't replicate it, but I ran across a different glitch. When a cat is sitting, it will sink to the bottom of the water and eventually die. It will not teleport when injured and will sink until it dies.
