recipe book not showing recipe if the item is named

The recipe book does not show craftable items (in this case diamond blocks because I have 7 of regular diamonds) if it is renamed.

The attached pictures show what I'm on about. 

the bug has been reported as https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-117981?jql=text%20~%20%22recipe%20book%20name%22 but that says resolved

-just as a side note i can craft the block with renamed and not named diamonds
