If you try to place a block next to a sideways minecart, the block placing animation won't occur.
Set up: place two blocks ontop of eachother, leave the block to the right blank, and place a block to the right of that, place rails on the blocks to the right, and remove the block on the bottom of the two block pillar, replacing the block won't play the placing animation. It has to be facing either north or west.
