Debug mode glitches out when upgrading to a newer version

I upgraded my debug mode world from 20w30a to 1.16.2 pre1. I noticed that there were a ton of lighting glitches and both minecraft:twisting_vines_plant and minecraft:potted_crimson_roots were fake waterlogged, since they can't be waterlogged. Everything else upgraded as normal and all of the new variants of blocks were added correctly.
