Opening Pause menu causes fps drop/lag

Steps to reproduce

1. Launch Minecraft from Launcher

2. Create new world

3. Join new world and wait for fps to stabilize (60fps - vsync)

4. Press esc to open pause menu

5. Notice fps drop to 1-2 fps with great lag and a few seconds before the menu opens

6. This also reproduces on all UI menu elements like chest, trading, and utility blocks eg. crafting table, stone cutter, etc.
