What I expected to happen was...:
To drop the items on the ground.
What actually happened was...:
They vanished
Steps to Reproduce:
1. With half full inventory in a crafting table, shift click to make as many minecarts as you can (I had 9 stacks of iron ingots).
2. After inventory is full, start making hopper minecarts right away.
3. Iron ingots in the crafting recipe that are supposed to fall on the ground because of full inventory disappear (I lose approximately 250 ingots) .
