Whenever I launch the Minecraft launcher and press play nothing happens (tried numerous versions of the game, latest release, snapshots, 1.16.1 and 1.14), I press play again and it claims the game is already running despite it not appearing in task manager. I have performed clean installs of java and Minecraft nothing has helped. I have tried rerouting the java directory in launch options to use the java on my pc rather than the launchers runtime state but still nothing. Despite this my game will launch from the technic launcher. I have a 64 bit system and have installed both 32bit and 64bit java as recommended by the java website.

I have tried numerous versions of Minecraft everything from snapshots to 1.16.2 or 1.16.1 and all the way back to 1.14 nothing works.

What version were you trying to play? Sometimes older versions don't launch.
