Problem:
Potion/Effect particles show up, even though my potion has particles turned off. The particles didn't started immediately, but after another potion/effect was applied on me, in this case strength.
I gave myself strength (no particles), and then went in range of a strength beacon, which has of course particles. When I went out of range, the beacon strength went out after 15 seconds and the old strength did show up with particles.
How to recreate:
Give yourself a potion effect without particles. For example with this command:
/effect give @p strength 1000000 20 true. You should see no particles.Give yourself a shorter lasting potion of the same effect, with particles, just a regular potion for example, and let it run out.
Because of this bug, you will keep getting particles

Any non-standard client/server/launcher build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang Studios or the Bugtracker.
Any plugin or resource pack issues need to be addressed to the creator of the plugin or resource pack.
If you have problems on large servers, such as The Hive and Hypixel, please contact them first as they run extensively modified server software.
