I first got minecraft on this pc a little over a month ago and i logged into my old account and then i just re-downloaded minecraft. I then joined my friends server and it was running fine (144fps). A few days later i gave my old minecraft account to my brother and then i made a new account for myself so that we could play together. I bought minecraft on my new account and then i proceeded to join my friends server again and it was running good for a few days. I then wanted to make my own offline world so I did. When I loaded into my new world i noticed that the framerate was way too low (30fps) and i don't know what caused it. I have not been able to fix it and i don't know what to do now. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing minecraft but that didn't fix it. My pc is able to run much more demanding games so why is my pc not able to run minecraft? My specs are: gtx 1080, ryzen 5 3600x, 16gb ram, and b550 motherboard.
What I expected to happen was...:
I would expect my computer to be able to run minecraft at a solid 144 fps
What actually happened was...:
I log into my world and it only is able to run it at around 30 fps

Thanks it worked, i guess since my computer had far better specs than the recommended system specs for minecraft, i thought i could run minecraft on max settings. I just bumped the render distance down to 20 and it is running perfect. Also i found out that on my friends server the render distance couldnt be higher than 16 chunks so that is why it was running smoothly for me.
Your CPU is not strong enough to support that render distance, lower than and your performance should improve significantly.
