1x1 Water Elevator, putting magma block on the bottom creates the bubbles that pull you down but when soul sand is placed in the same location it does nothing. All of the water is source blocks. This is an issue on Minecraft realms and we have another bubble elevator that works in the world but this one does not.

@Galaxy_2Alex The bubbles go all the way up when there is a magma block placed which is shown in the photos but when there is soul sand where the magma block was there are no bubbles created anymore.
If there are no bubbles, all the way to the top, you are missing some source blocks.
