I use to be able to play MC and run it however I wanted. Then one day I got to launch the game and notice immediate frame drops in the menu. I go to launch my world and I'm sitting at 5-10 fps for some reason. I have deleted MC and Java off my computer and fresh installed them, but the problem is still there. I can now only assume there is some sort of bug preventing the game from running smoothly.

Very easy solution. You have your maximum framerate setting to the lowest of 10 fps. Turn it up all the way to max.
I feel bad for you if you bought the computer just because of this lol
