Gold pickaxe doesn't work for mining redstone ore, coal ore, lapis lazule ore, emerald ore, diamond ore, gold ore, iron ore; instead of dropping the blocks or drop the block vanishes and nothing drops. No enchanted gold pickaxe works with those blocks either.
