I was in a bastion invis, and I got attacked by a piglin. I tested this out again in a separate world and the same thing happened. I had no armour on, or blocks in my main hand or off hand. In the separate world, I didn't open any chests either.

How close were you to the Piglins? Invisibility does not work if you are right next to the mob, they can sense you.
