Heavy weighted pressure plate remains at power 3.

As soon as one entity falls onto the plate it goes to power level 3 straight away. It only happens on specific blocks though, I moved the pressure plate and it worked just fine but when i put it back into the redstone contraption the issue comes back straight away.
