[MC-20386] Chicken noises effect noises within a close range

In my egg farm i had many chickens, they would make there noise (i.e. The footsteps and their normal noises) and it would make any other sound only play half the sound. Like chests do half of opening sound and no closing sound, also breaking sugar cane

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

This would be Minecraft trying to play more sounds at once than your audio device can handle. Minecraft could either detect the supported number of sound channels, or make it user configurable.
