Now this bug may seem strange and might not even be considered a bug.
When you reset your skin in the mincraft.net website it will automatically pick the skin for you. What this does is just set your skin to be Alex or Steve instead of it being flat out no skin at all.Β It might seem like it's working as intended but for resource pack creators like myself its hard to test custom textures for Alex and Steve when you cannot see it. What I suggest is that you pick either slim or standard and it will pick the texture from the game files/resource pack accordingly. I find this a big issue as I stated before that as a resource pack creator I would like to see the textures I'm creating in-game instead of having the game set my skin overtop the resource pack files. Because the game does this it's not really considered using the "default" skin if it sets the skin for you. In the picture bellow it shows that my skin is set to Alex after resetting my skin though this causes the problem of not being able to see my own texture.

This doesn't seem to be a bug with Minecraft.
