Before judging read this: I DONT KNOW IF IT IS CONSIDERED A BUG OR MISTAKE OR NOT SO PLZ DO NOT GIVE HATE COMMENTS! alright....so when the minecraft 1.4.2 update came out i was happy to see all those new mobs and each one of them had a egg to go with it....... ecxcept the wither skeleton mob. Usually when a mob is added they either give it a spawn egg or you end up having to build one, but the wither skeleton is the only mob who you cant spawn or create in any way, shape or form. so i was wondering if its a mistake you guys made, a glitch or you ended up doing it on purpose.

The wither skeleton is just a variant of the regular skeleton, so there is no egg.

I really think it's dumb how you must use a mod to get wither skeleton eggs.

You don't need a mod. Just do what Leon said and use a skeleton egg in the nether.

If you want a wither skeleton easily, use this command:
/summon Skeleton [x] [y] [z] {SkeletonType:1} 1=Wither 0=Normal
You can spawn a wither skeleton with a skeleton spawner egg using in the nether.
