It was half open and half closed. I opened it and same thing.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create a door that is one block away from a door(Pressing on the pressure plate shouldn't open the door).
Flatten the pressure plate 3 or so times.
Wait a few seconds then open the door with a wooden axe
Side note: It's easier to trigger the bug is you act like you are confused about the pressure plate not opening the door.

However, this issue is Invalid.
Your game, launcher or server is modified.
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla environment, please recreate the issue.
Any non-standard client/server/launcher build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the creator of the plugin or resource pack.
If you have problems on large servers, such as The Hive and Hypixel, please contact them first as they run modified server software.
