MacOS occasionally requires a double click

Hello,

I have been experiencing this issue for a while now and I've heard that other people on Mac also have this problem. I am finding that sometimes when I open Minecraft, it will start in a state where I have to double click everything. I will have to restart the application multiple times before it will go back to normal. 

What I expected to happen was...:
Basically, for any normal click, I should just have to click once.

What actually happened was...:
When the app gets in this weird state at startup, it makes you have to double click everything, even in-game.

Steps to Reproduce:
It happens very frequently, just launch Minecraft on MacOS
