Certain effects appear be affective when logging on, when they don't do anything.

Say, if you have an effect on you, then leave the game, then rejoin later, the effect will not work but appear to be there. You will see the icon in the corner and the timer in your inventory, yet it will have no effect on you. I know so far this works with haste and resistance.
