Inventory In Creative and Survival

I went to sort my survival inventory in creative, but the Item I select disappears. I also can't drag things from the creative menu down to my bar without them disappearing. This also happens in survival, but the items will sometimes reappear.
1. Drag something from Creative Menu.
2. Item will disappear.
3. Cry in corner because it is impossible to drag.
