I programmed a command block to remove an item, and then hooked it up to a redstone clock. I then tried to test it by setting the item it removed to data value 271, or a wood axe. When I activated it, it removed all the wood axes from my inventory, but when I went into my creative inventory to grab redstone, it was removed immediately. I switched to survival mode, and it allowed me to grab things from my inventory again. But when I switched back to creative, it continued. The effect ended when I shut off the machine.

Confirmed this works in 1.6.1 as well. I was taking a look at the tutorial page and found the "Security Scan" for TNT and this makes it where you cannot get anything out of your inventory.
Depending on the clock if slow enough, You can obtain the item.
Confirmed, although it only seems to happen if you hook up the redstone to the command block AFTER you type in the command, if you type in the command in a command block wich is allready recieving power from the redstone clock, everything seems to work fine, so that can be used as a temporary fix 🙂 EDIT: Nope, now this solution doesn't work either
I don't know why this is marked as fixed. I'm still seeing the problems (maybe slightly different than this but similar) in the issue I posted that got marked a duplicate, here: MC-31492
Confirmed. But even in survival grabbing the items is glitchy.
