Target selectors x, y, z don't work

If you type something along the lines of @e[x=10, dx=20] it will be ignored.
I used it exactly how the Minecraft wiki tells you to, but it doesn't work. I know, that this has been postet earlier, but the answer said, it worked when used right (with a link to the wiki page).
