sculk sensor wool blocking is inconsistent, if you place a wool block next to a sculk sensor and map out what blocks that are blocked, you see that it is asymmetric. the fastest way to see this is to place a wool right on top of the sculk sensor and then place blocks on the 4 sides of the wool. you will see that only the north and south side make a signal.
there is also another, but related issue. the sculk sensor wool blocking behaves different at certain coordinates. the fastes way to show this is to place a sculk sensor at x=81, z=8 and do the same experiment again. you will see that now only the south side is blocking.
