You can see underman even through certain items

This is very likely an issue with modifications to your game. Unfortunately, only issues found in unmodified Minecraft are accepted on the bug tracker here.

If you can reproduce in an unmodified game, feel free to create a new report! If you can't, however, then I'd recommend reporting this issue to the developers of the mod that causes the issue (you may need to do a bit of testing first).
