After my laptop goes to sleep because it wasn't used for a little while, all apps continue normally except Minecraft. Minecraft's volume doesn't work, whatever I do until I restart the app. After that, everything continues normally.

I am sorry, English is not my first language so I was unclear. It is no game changer and you can live with it, but it is not pached. You can easily fix it for yourself (Via restarting the game), but next time it will appear again.
It is not necessary to fix it, and if I was a developer I would maybe just skup it, but I will leave the decision up to them.
This is most likely a windows issue, and not something Mojang can solve. Please see MC-44055 for possible workarounds.
