It was dark, and I couldn't see while building a home. I decided to plop a bed and go to sleep. Even as creative mode, it said, "You can't sleep now. There are monsters nearby!" Even if it was intended for that, I suggest to have night vision for Creative players.

Feature suggestions should be on the Minecraft Forums. You could always use the command
/time set dayto set the time back to day or/gamerule doDaylightCycle falseto stop the time from changing. Alternatively, use/effect @p 16 1000000to give yourself the Night Vision effect for 1000000 seconds (around 11.57 days).
