Minecraft Launcher not working

My friend has been getting an error every time he tries to launch Minecraft. His Minecraft crashes and he has to go to task manager to start it. He says there are 2 Minecraft launchers in his background processes, one has 32 bit and one is just regular. I checked my Minecraft and it has 2 Minecraft launchers and both are 32 bit, not just one. I checked on this problem many times and the solution would be to delete something called PremierOpinion but he doesn't have that in his computer. He has McAfee anti-virus. The solution to starting Minecraft would be to end the Minecraft launcher that doesn't have 32 bit in his task manager. I don't know why his has one 32 bit and one regular. He can still play but recently he's been using the CurseForge app to play Pixelmon but now he cant because of this same problem. He doesn't have the two Minecraft launchers, though. If anyone can help it would be appreciated because I really want to play with him!
