Even after spreading to all nearby blocks, Glow Lichen will still consume bone meal

Even after spreading to all nearby blocks, Glow Lichen will still consume bone meal when you right click it. 

How to replicate: Place some Glow Lichen on the floor, and right click it with bone meal 4 times to get it to spread in all four cardinal directions. Then, click it a fifth time, and it will still consume bone meal (only in Survival)
