I cannot eat, I try and the food moves with the pieces going around and makes the eating noise like normal. Then the food moves away from my mouth as if I am just holding it with the noise still going and pieces of food animating, does not fill hunger bar and I do not use up whatever food I am eating.
I have tried various foods and none are consumed

even if it was if they don't have a good computer it can still lag to the point where they can't eat especially if they have a bod computer and bad internet which they probably have at least one or both
I made a video but it says the file is too big. Not being tech savvy I tried compressing it but still too big. I play on a 3rd party server. Before the latest update everything was fine, my computer and internet are running at regular speeds from the past.
When a server lags to 1 tps, food can take up to 5 minutes to consume. Cake can be eaten instantly. If you play on a (usually) laggy server, cake is a great thing to have on-hand.
After talking to others on the server they were having similar problems too and one of the mods had reset the server, and they are working on the server itself. So we can say this has been resolved for the most part, I was told they had to downgrade back from 1.16.5 to 1.16.4 until issues on the server are fixed.
Is this on a server or a local world?
