Hay bales placed sideways show a flipped side texture

When placing hay bales normally, all side textures are shown correctly.
When placing hay bales sideways, one of the four side textures is flipped upside-down (see screenshots).

To be exact:

  • When "hay_block_top.png" faces in north-south direction, "hay_block_side.png" facing west is incorrectly flipped.

  • When "hay_block_top.png" faces in west-east direction, "hay_block_side.png" facing north is incorrectly flipped.

@Grum:
Won't fix? It's a minor issue, but just take a look at the screenshots, I don't think it should look like this. Or is it intended that one of the side textures of rotated hay blocks is flipped upside-down and the other three look normal? I mean: In this case, hay block side textures in texturepacks need to be exactly symmetric to avoid this problem, that would look a bit strange. Some explanation why this was resolved as "Won't fix" would be nice, please, I don't understand it.

@Tails:
Oh .. thx for linking me to MC-1451 ... my hay block problem seems to be a general issue of rotated blocks. I'll try to find a workaround using MCPatchers CTM method=fixed and the face tags. Should work fine this way.
