Night Time Softlock

I was messing around with the new moss block and bonemeal when night started and my bonemeal stopped working, I thought maybe moss doesn't grow with bonemeal at night but eventually found nothing in the game was working. I could still break and place blocks, check my inventory and such, time still went on in game, but command's wouldn't execute, mobs lost their AI and couldn't be hit, blocks with GUI's such as furnaces or chests couldn't be interacted with, potions didn't work, beds didn't work, gravity blocks won't fall; I think you get the idea, nothing in the game would work, I tired exiting to the title and it won't kick me off of the "saving world" screen. I restarted the game and loaded the same world yet the same issue happened once the sun set. No hostile mobs had spawned in either so perhaps it has to do with an error revolving around mob spawning yet I have no clue.
